How to Join

E-mail List:
SVL maintains an email announcement system for announcements of activities, events, classes, and other community affairs.
To subscribe to the list please send an email to: info@svlclub.org and put in the subject line: "SUBSCRIBE SVLCOMMUNITY", also please state that you are over 18 in the note.

 

For those wishing to become members of the Sacramento Valley Leathercorps the following is part of the process.

New members:

1. Must be LBGT
2. Start as Pledges to the club
3. You must be a pledge for at least 3 months and up to a year before being a full member
4. Before you can pledge the club you must attend at least 2 club functions
   During that time you should make sure you introduce yourself to any Board Members there so that they recognize your name and face when you hand in an application to become a member.
   Board Members usually have on SVL Board Member Pins or just ask someone wearing the SVL club patches who some of the Board Members present are.

Pledges are assigned a Pledge Mentor. The Mentor is to assist the Pledge through the Pledge process. This includes being available to answer any questions the Pledge may have, as well as periodically checking with the Pledge to make sure the Pledge is aware of what is required, and is meeting those requirements.

Full membership:

1. Invitation of the board
2. Sponsorship of two Full Members
3. For individuals who have distinguished themselves in their service to the organization and the community

Full Members receive club colors and extended benefits. Full Members, however, are required to maintain active participation in the organization to maintain Full Member status.

PAY DUES ONLINE - Renewals Only no first time members may join online.

For those qualifying for low income membership, please contact our Membership Officer to make sure you qualify and to get the info to renew. Membership@svlclub.org
